Teachers can become homeowners and contribute to community revitalization through Housing and Urban Development (HUD)'s Good Neighbor Next Door Sales Program. This program offers a 50% discount on the list price of eligible homes in revitalization areas. Participants must commit to living in the property for 36 months as their principal residence. Properties are available for purchase for seven days, and eligibility is determined by a random lottery if multiple offers are received.
